【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofunsulfonatedresidueinplantsprayoilsofpetroleumoriginandappliesonlytothepetroleumoilcontent.Itprovidesameasureofthedegreeofrefinementofplantsprayoilsbydeterminingtheextenttowhichtheoilisattackedby98.61%sulfuricacidundercloselystandardizedconditions.Sincetherelationshipbetweenunsulfonatedresidueandtheactualcompositionoftheoilisnotknown,thistestmethodshouldbeappliedonlyformeasuringthedegreeofrefinementandnotforthedeterminationofaromaticsorolefins,orboth.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
