【摘要】:ThisTechnicalSpecificationdescribesamethodfordeterminingtheskidresistanceofpavedsurfacebymeasurementofthelongitudinalfrictioncoefficientLFCS.ThisTechnicalspecificationcoverstheoperationoftheRoadSurfaceTesterofarsenalresearch(roadSTAR).Themethod"RoadSTAR"providesameasureoftheskidresistancepropertiesofaboundsurfacebymeasurementofthelongitudinalfrictioncoefficientusingacontinuousreadingcar-sizedbrakedwheelfixed-slipdevice.Themethod"RoadSTAR"providesskidresistancemeasurementsofpavementsbyusingthemodifiedStuttgartskiddometer(StuttgarterReibungsmesser).RoadSTARutilizesameasurementrepresentingthesteady-statefrictiononbrakedtestwheelataslipratioof82%(forstandardconditions),37,5%,50%,75%(forcomparisonmeasurements),withlockedwheelorunderABS-brakingconditions(forresearchmeasurements).Thetestwheelisdraggedoveraprewettedpavementsurfaceundercontrolledloadandspeedconditionswhilethetesttyreisparalleltothedirectionofmotionandperpendiculartothepavement.NOTEThreedifferentslipratiosareretainedinordertousethesameslipspeedforthethreedifferentnominaltestingspeedsof40km/h,60km/hand80km/hforcomparisonmeasurementd.Thecommonslipspeedischosenequalto30km/h:-foratestingspeedof40km/hitisnecessarytoapplyaslipratioof75%,-foratestingspeedof60km/hitisnecessarytoapplyaslipratioof50%,-foratestingspeedof80km/hitisnecessarytoapplyaslipratioof37,5%.AmachineconformingtothegeneralcharacteristicsoftheRoadSTARandthespecificprovisionsofthisTechnicalSpecificationshouldbeusedforthetests.Inadditiontofrictionmeasurements,toestimatethemacrotextureofthepavementsurface,alasersystemisused.Thissystemisplacedinforntofthetestwheelinordertobeabletomeasuremacrotexture(meanprofiledepth-MDP)onthedrysurfaceandonthesamepathastheskidresistancemeasurements.ThestandardforthemeasurementandthedeviceisdescribedinENISO13473-1andISO13473-2.
